Can I choose who my flatmates are?
You have the option to reside with your friends by opting for the same flat number during the booking process. However, please be aware that this is dependent on availability, so it's advisable to make your reservation early to ensure availability!
What is a guarantor and why do I need one?
A guarantor is someone who agrees to pay your rent if you are unable to do so, such as one of your parents. If you encounter difficulties in meeting rent payments, please reach out to the Management Team. Well only contact your guarantor to pay rent as a last resort if you cannot meet the agreement of your tenancy.
Do I need to be a full-time student to book a room?
Typically, we prioritize full-time students, but exceptions can be made. Feel free to reach out to the student residence you're considering exploring your options in more detail.
Who can live with us?
Students who are 18 years old or older.
Can I book a room if I am 17 years old?
No, you need to be 18 years of age from the day you move in.
What if I need any room adaptation due to a medical condition?
If you need any room adaptation you need to contact our team to ensure that we can accommodate you and provide you with what you need.
Student Living
Can I personalise my room?
We want you to make your room your own but please do not use sticky tape, blu-tack or any similar adhesive or hang anything on the walls as any paint damage will be deducted from your deposit. You have a noticeboard that you can use to decorate your room with posters and photos.
Where can I smoke?
Any indoor areas are non-smoking/vaping areas. This includes all rooms, shared areas in the apartments, the reception, study area, or any other indoor area. However, there is plenty of outdoor space within The Residence.
Can I keep a fridge in my room?
Additional fridges are only allowed in your room if they are for the purpose of storing prescribed medication.
Can I share my room?
All our rooms are single occupancy the exception of our Twin Rooms, you are allowed to have a guest stay for a maximum of 3 nights.
Can I bring a pet?
We love pets and enjoy their company, but unfortunately, tenants are not allowed to bring pets into the building.
Are there spare rooms for visitors to stay in?
Although we would love to accommodate your guest in a nice room, we do not have space for it. All our rooms are intended for our students.
Are there any social events for residents?
We have a dedicated team for organising social, cultural, and fitness events throughout the year, so you and your flatmates can enjoy.
Can I change rooms?
Changing rooms is an option that some students may consider during their stay with us. Sometimes this is a possibility as long as there are rooms available. You can contact our team for more information when the time comes.
What happens if something in my flat breaks or doesn't work?
If something breaks or doesn't work, don't worry. You can report the issue at any time, and our maintenance team will take care of it as soon as possible.
Can I have friends or family to stay?
Yes, you can have one guest stay with you overnight. We recommend that you inform your flatmates in advance and that your guest stays a maximum of 3 nights.
Are the social spaces always open?
In principle, all our common areas and amenities are available to you 24 hours a day, unless we need to use these areas for maintenance or to host an event.
What is the size of the bed?
All beds are Double Beds, with the exception of those in the Twin Rooms and Standard Plus rooms, which are Single Beds.
Accommodation Amenities
Is Wi-Fi included?
Yes, we offer high-speed broadband and Wi-Fi as standard in all rooms and communal areas.
What is included in your room when you arrive?
All our rooms are equipped with a bed, desk and chair, wardrobe and shelves, a notice board to decorate your room with your posters and photos, and a mirror. Ensuite rooms have their own private bathrooms and Twin/Standard rooms have a shared bathroom with one other person.
What appliances are included in the shared areas of your apartment?
The kitchen and living room are a very important area of your apartment. They have a fully equipped kitchen, with hobs, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, cupboards and sink. This space also includes a dining table and chairs, sofas and a smart TV.
Where do I do my washing?
We have on-site laundry facilities for you to use whenever you need during your stay.
What equipment is in the gym?
The Residence Gym is equipped with free weights and weight training equipment including power bags and kettlebells, as well as cardiovascular equipment including an air bike, treadmill, and rowing machine.
Can I have parcels delivered to my building?
Yes, we offer a Free Parcel Locker service. You can pick up your package at any time of the day with total convenience. Packages cannot be delivered or accepted at reception.
Do we get a cleaner?
As a Resident it is your responsibility to clean your room and shared areas within your apartment. All our communal areas are cleaned regularly. However, if you want to hire professional cleaning services for your room or your apartment you can speak with our team to see what options are available.
Where can I leave my bike?
Our residence has sufficient space for you to leave your bike. Each block has bike racks where you can leave your bike. Although access to the Residence is controlled, we always recommend securing your bike with a "U" lock.
Is there car parking for students on-site?
The Residence does not have car parking for student use.
Moving Day
Can I move in before my contract starts?
Unfortunately, you cannot move in any earlier.
What documents do I need to check in?
When you check in we will need to see your Passport or ID.
What time can I arrive on the day I move in?
When the time approaches you will receive instructions to book a time slot.
Is it possible to arrive out of hours on the day I move in?
The answer is yes! However, you need to contact our residence team enough time in advance to make sure that we are at the Reception to assist you and give you your key.
Room fees & Licence to reside
How much is the Booking Fee?
To book with us you need to pay a Booking Fee of €300, which will be converted into a Damage Deposit once you move into the property. The payment has to be made by credit or debit card at the reservation of your room. this fee is refunded to you after you move out, less and damage deductions where applicable.
How do I pay my room fee?
We always recommend you check your License where you can find all the due payment dates and the amount due. Remember that you need to make your payment before or on the due date to avoid late payment. To make your payment you need to log into the Student Portal or by paying via bank transfer using the details provided to you on your invoice.
Can I pay my room fees at the Reception?
We do not accept payments at the Reception; however, we can assist you with the payment process.
Can I sublet my room for the summer?
No, unfortunately, we do not allow students to sublet their rooms. However, we invite you to have a chat with the Management Team when the time approaches to see what other options you may have.
Can I move out early?
Yes - Provided you find a replacement tenant for your room, then you can get in touch with your residence support team to discuss the details.
Safety & Security
Is there always a member of staff available on site?
We aim to have staff available 24 hours a day. Therefore, whether you have a request during the day or night, a member of our resident team will be there to assist you.
How safe is the accommodation?
The entrance to The Residence is access controlled as well as monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. All other apartments and room doors are key-controlled.
Is the building regularly inspected for fire safety?
Ensuring the safety of our is one of our priorities. We conduct regular tests across our residences.
What do I do if Ive booked a room, but can't get a visa?
Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more information related to this matter.
Do I need to bring my own bedding?
Yes. We don't provide any bed linen in our flats because we believe students enjoy customising their rooms to their own preferences.
How can I reach The Residence from the airport?
We recommend that you plan the transfer from the airport to The Residence in advance. You have various options, but if you need guidance, contact our team.
What is the type of sockets in Ireland?
The electrical voltage in Ireland is 240V and the plugs are standard 3-prong UK/IE type. We recommend you buy at least one Plug Adaptor before your arrival if you do not have one already.
